Diann Ruth Olson

Diann Ruth Olson 5/26/1952 10/16/2015 Diann Ruth Olson, 63, of Rochester, died peacefully in her home Friday, October 16, 2015surrounded by both her Sons. Diann was born on May 26, 1952 in Pine Island, MN to Edward and Margery Manthei. She grew up on the family farm and attended Pine Island High School, graduating in 1970. She then pursued a career in hair dressing for over 40 years in Rochester, MN after graduating from the Rochester Cosmetology School. Diann had a very strong work ethic and developed a remarkably loyal clientele. Diann married Jerry M. Olson on June 28, 1981 and later established a long, loving relationship with Gary Siemer of Elgin, MN. Diann is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Margery Manthei. Diann is survived by her brother/sister-in-law, Edward & Linda Manthei of Rochester, MN; sister, Merry Manthei of Bloomington, MN; son/daughter-in-law, John & Krystal Olson of Rochester, MN; and son, Jeff Olson of Rochester, MN. The family wishes to thank and acknowledge Seasons Hospice and Minnesota Medical Solutions for their remarkable medicine and compassionate care, extending the quality of her life. In lieu of a funeral, the family plans a Celebration of Life at Dianns residence 2121 Vivian Lane NW, Rochester, MN on Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 2 6pm.
