Diana E. Wakefield

Diana E. Wakefield, 79 of Rochester, MN passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at her residence. Diana was born in Bayard, Nebraska in 1937. After graduating from high school, she attended the University of Nebraska and the University of Nebraska-Kearney. Later she earned a Masters and Educational Specialist Degree from the University of Minnesota. Diana married Will on December 28, 1956. She spent many years teaching business at Rochester Community and Technical College. Diana spent most memorable times attending her grandchildrens school and sporting activities, 4-H and equestrian events. Diana is survived by a daughter, Lisa (Steve) Seymour; a son, Scott Wakefield; and her grandchildren, Sarah and Nicole Seymour. She is also survived by a sister and a brother-in-law, Jill and Terry Ferguson and several nieces and nephews. Diana was preceded in death by her husband, Will; her mother and father, Fea and Thelma Raymond; and a brother, Eddie. Diana preferred that there be no formal ceremony and that you will all just say a prayer for her.
