Dennis Stevens

Dennis Stevens, age 71, of Rochester, MN. died of cancer on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Seasons Hospice House in Rochester.He was born on January 2, 1944 in Hayfield, MN to Ralph and Anna (Dahle) Stevens.He graduated from John Marshall High School in Rochester in 1962 and was a graduate of Mankato State University. On September 10, 1966, he married Judith Springer in Rochester. Dennis worked as a medical buyer for Mayo Clinic for 26 years.He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his grandchildren and at his cabin in Deer River. He is survived by his wife, Judith; son, Todd (Wendy) Stevens of Ellicott City, MD; daughter, Michelle (Woody) Chung of Chandler, AZ.; daughter, Susan (Randy) Jones of Rochester, MN.; two brothers, Les (Barbara) Stevens of Stewartville, MN. and Al (Kathryn) Stevens of St. Paul, MN.; one sister, Jane (Al) Schilmoeller of Rochester, MN; and five grandchildren.Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, one brother David, and one sister, Phyllis. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church 2830 18th Avenue NW in Rochester.Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church.Interment will be at West St. Olaf Lutheran Cemetery Hayfield, MN.Memorials may be designated to the MS Society, Mayo Hospice or Seasons Hospice.
