Delores E. Brakke

Funeral services for Delores E. Brakke, 79, of Rochester, MN. will be at 11:00am on Monday, October 24, 2016 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes with visitation being on Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and also one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens. Delores Elaine Brakke was born on April 2, 1937 in Mantorville, MN. to John and Martha (Scherger) Laures. She died peacefully at her home on October 19, 2016. On August 8, 1953 she married Charles H. Brakke in Kasson, MN. She worked as an LPN at the Worrell Hospital and later for St. Marys for many years. In 1974 she started working at Pace Dairy until her retirement. Delores was full of life and had a wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed all gatherings where food and laughter were shared, playing cards, dancing, Bingo, and could take any ingredient and create a fantastic dish. Delores led a simple life but shared with many, laughter, kindness and her love for cats. She was a member of Zumbro Lutheran Church and the Moose Lodge. A special thanks to those that assisted her and made life easier. We will miss her and are so proud of her courage and strength. Survivors include her children, Janet Halling of Rochester, Sheri (Paul) McCoy of New Hope, MN, Brenda (Bob) Martini of Rochester and Chuck (Shari) Brakke of Rochester; eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, two brothers, one son-in-law, one grandson, and one great granddaughter. Memorials are suggested to Safe Haven.
