Della Marie Hoseth

Rochester- A private family graveside service for Della Marie Hoseth will be on Monday, November 14, 2011 at Lands Lutheran Church Cemetery in Zumbrota with Rev. Jeff Utecht of Evangel United Methodist Church officiating. Della Marie Hoseth, 95,passed away October 25, 2011 at Madonna Towers in Rochester. She was born May 20, 1916 in Dodge County, MN to William and Elenora (Scott) Hennie. On August 6, 1941 Della married George Hoseth in Pine Island. Della was a 1933 graduate of Kasson High School and went on to receive her BA from Winona State in 1964. She also later received a special degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth. She taught 36 years in Dodge and Olmsted Counties, including 13 years in special reading and math in Kasson-Mantorville Schools. Della retired in 1981. Della moved into Madonna Towers in March 2007 after 65 years of married life. She was a member of Evangel United Methodist Church. Della enjoyed spending her time knitting and being part of the quilting group at church. She is survived by her sons, Ronald (Linda) Hoseth of Medina, MN and Raymond Hoseth of Florida; 2 grandchildren, Alexander (Sara) Hoseth of Edina, MN and Ned (Catherine) Hoseth of New York, NY; great-granddaughters, Lily and Hannah; great-grandson, Dash; sister, Esther Scharkey of Rochester. Della was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, George; infant son, Marvin and 2 brothers, Gilbert and Delbert Hennie.
