Debra D. Lubahn Debra Dee (Kuisle) Lubahn age 51, was called home to meet her Lord on Thursday, September 12 after a 2 year battle with ovarian cancer. She was born March 31, 1962 in Rochester, MN daughter of Ralph & Virginia (Dee) Kuisle of Byron, MN.She graduated from Byron High School in 1980 and then from Rochester Junior College in 1982 as a Registered Nurse.After graduation she was employed by St Marys Hospital on 3 Mary Brigh (rehab) and was blessed with 30 years of service. She met her future husband Kenneth in May of 1986 and was married to her love on October 10th, 1987. They lived in Byron for 11 years and then moved to their present home north of Douglas. Deb was baptized, confirmed, and married at Christ the King Catholic church in Byron and later changed to Trinity Lutheran Church in Rochester. She was very involved with Sunday School and Vacation Bible School both as a teacher and then as Sunday School Superintendent.After retiring as Superintendent she still stayed very active with Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and also with the Junior High & Senior High youth programs. She loved helping the youth and seeing them grow in their faith and love for their Lord Jesus.Deb loved her family immensely and was always there to help and partake in whateverneeded to be done; be it milking cows with Ralph and Don, installing new steel roofing on the barn, building an addition on a house, or enjoying activities with the nieces/nephews. She never seemed to tire and was always smiling. Deb also became close to a Sudanese family that came to Trinity and enjoyed teaching, leading, and just spending time with the children as they grew and parents as they adjusted to their new country. Survivors include her husband Kenneth E. Lubahn,her father & mother Ralph & Virginia Kuisle of Byron, sisters Rosemary (Tim) Schmerbeck of Kasson & Beverly (Leroy) Kaehler of Kasson, brothers Don (Pam) Kuisle of Byron & Dale (Karen) Kuisle of Byron. Nieces & nephews;Ken, Michelle, Kelly, Samantha,Christine, David, Ryan (Laura May), & Laura Kuisle,Katie & Shawn Schmerbeck, Kimberly (Mike) Grossmann; and great niece Amira Kuisle. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 18th at 11:00AM, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 222 6th Avenue SW, Rochester, MN, with Pastor William Otte & Pastor Joel Haack officiating. Visitation with family will be Tuesday evening at Ranfranz Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and also 1 hour prior to the service at Trinity. The Rosary will be held at 8:15 PM Tuesday evening in the Chapel at Ranfranz. If desired, three Memorial Funds have been established in Debs name (donors choice): Trinity Youth Program, Christ The King Catholic Church, or Rochester Central Lutheran School.
