Deborah Lange, 59, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 26, 2015 surrounded by her caregiver family. Deborah (Deb) Lange, was born on January 11, 1956 in Tracy Minnesota to her parents, Curtis and Betty Lange.Deb was very close to her stepmother, Mary Lange.Deb lived independently in the Rochester community in her younger years.She ultimately found Cardinal of Southern Minnesota, and resided with them for the past 18 years.Deb enjoyed the support and care that Cardinal provided.She was treated with the utmost dignity and respect, through all the years living with them, and especially as she became ill, requiring even more care and patience. Deb started working with Ability Building Center (ABC) in November of 1977.Deb enjoyed her various job duties while employed through ABC.Deb retired from ABC and started attending the Salvation Army day program.She then transferred to PossAbiltiies Senior Program in 2015.She made many friends, through peers and staff, while working and attending work/day programming.Deb strived to work as hard as she could to meet her goals, and do the best she was able. Deb was a very pretty woman, who enjoyed dressing nicely, wearing makeup, and showing her bright, wide smile.She enjoyed being social with others (relationships were very important to her), attending classes and activities, going to movies, bowling, going to the MN Zoo and attending church. She enjoyed going out for dinner, coffee and pie, and her very favorite activity, horseback riding through Rideabilities. Deb often spoke of a horse she used to have, named Thila. Deb enjoyed helping staff cook, and travelling when she was younger.Deb enjoyed and valued her house mates company, as well as the company of her Cardinal Staff.They had all been together for many years, and became her family.No matter how hard of a day she experienced, Deb was always offering a hug and saying, Oh, I love you. A memorial will be held to honor Deb on Wednesday, September 30th, at 10:30am.It will be held at Seasons Hospice, 1696 Greenview Dr SW, Rochester. Thank you, to all who assisted Deb, befriended her, and cared for her.You helped give her a life full of value, meaning, respect and love. As Deb always said, Have a good day!
