Deborah Jo Attewell

Deborah Jo Debbie Attewell was born on August 22, 1954 in Dayton, OH to John and Dolores (Gelak) Clementi.She died at the age of 58 on February 10, 2013 at Rochester Methodist Hospital after a long battle with pneumonia following chemotherapy for breast cancer. At an early age, she moved with her family to South Milwaukee, WI and graduated from South Milwaukee High School in 1972.She later graduated from Sacred Heart School of Nursing in Milwaukee and worked as an LPN at Trinity Memorial Hospital.On August 5, 1978 she married John Attewell in South Milwaukee, WI.Over the next 15 years they resided in Knoxville, TN, Madison, WI, Ottumwa, IA, and Decatur, IL before settling in Rochester, MN in 1995. Debbie worked at Mayo Clinic first as a phlebotomist then on the neurology ICU VAT team at St Marys Hospital before working as a data abstractor in Colorectal Surgery Research.She was a cook, a talented quilter, and loved antiques. Survivors include her husband, John Attewell of Rochester, MN; her daughter, Lauren Attewell of Minneapolis, MN; and her son, Michael Attewell; daughter-in-law Krista Attewell; grandson, Jacob Attewell (all from Rochester, MN); her father, John B. Clementi; and brother Dennis Clementi (both from South Milwaukee, WI); two sisters, Diane Clementi (Charles Kreimendahl) of Madison, WI; and Christine (Michael) King of Greendale, WI; two nephews, John Andrew Clementi of Los Angeles, CA, and Trevor King of Greendale, WI; and a niece, Leah Clementi of Madison, WI.She is preceded in death by her mother Dolores. The family will have visitation on Thursday, February 14, 2013 from 6:00 8:00 pm at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes.
