Deborah Kay Butruff, 68, of Rochester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at her home surrounded by her loving family and her golden retriever Riley, by her side. Deb was born on August 22, 1951 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. She graduated from Mayo High School and went on to work in the Billing Department of the Mayo Clinic for 43 years before retiring. She was an avid fan of the Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Vikings, and Nascar. She loved watching all three of her grandsons play baseball and her granddaughter participate in cheerleading and gymnastics. Deb loved fishing and being outside with Riley. Family is was what she lived for. She will be missed dearly by them. She is survived by her daughter, Carrie (Nathan) Fletcher of Rochester; grandchildren, Jacob Fletcher, Samantha Fletcher, Joshua Fletcher, and Jeremiah Fletcher; and brother Craig "Skip" Butruff; nieces and nephews. Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Pearl; a brother and two sisters. A celebration of life will be held 11 a. m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Rochester, MN. Internment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery at a later time. The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and Mayo Hospice workers that aided in the care of Deborah.
