Davida M. Morris Funeral services for Davida M. Morris, 97, of Rochester will be at 11:00am on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Davida Minnie Johnson was born on July 22, 1920 in Rochester to Oscar and Clara (Radam) Johnson. She died on August 5, 2017 at the Maranatha Care Center in Brooklyn Center. Davida graduated in 1938. She worked at the Kreske Dime Store, Lymans Dress Store and later as a nighttime telephone operator. She met Bob, her future husband at a roller skating rink in Kasson in 1944. They were married on February 18, 1945 and had one child, David. Davida went back to work in 1958 for Watters Connelly, assembling phonographs. She later worked for the Buckskin Gift Shoppe and the Treasure Cove Gift Shop. She retired in 1981. She enjoyed word games, cards, sewing and cross stitching. Survivors include her son, David (Carmen) Morris of Brooklyn Park; two grandchildren, Jodi and Amy and four great grandchildren, Aidan, Nadia, Skylar and Braylen. She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse and one brother. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Alzheimers Association.
