David Dave Wayne Marquart was born on September 29, 1956 in Champaign, Illinois to Wayne and Eugenia (Ford) Marquart.He passed away on January 14, 2016 in Center City, Minnesota. David graduated from Effingham High School and received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois.He moved to Rochester in 1979 and worked for IBM as an Electrical Engineer until 1994. He also worked at various companies as a software and hardware engineer He most recently worked for Trane in LaCrosse, Wisconsin.On July 13, 1985, he married Tamara Aisenbrey at Zumbro Lutheran Church.To this union two children were born, Meredith and William, both of Rochester. David was an Eagle Scout and active in Boy Scout troop 82 with his son, William.David enjoyed trap shooting, geocaching, reading, going to movies and classical music.David was also cat crazy, always talking about his cats. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan, and wore his St. Louis Cardinals baseball hat to work in Rochester, MN, when the Twins were playing the Cardinals in the World Series. David enjoyed going to Rochester Honkers and Minnesota Twins baseball games and his children's band concerts. While he was not a fan of football, he went to football games where his children were in the marching bands. David is survived by his wife, Tamara Marquart of Rochester; children, Meredith and William Marquart of Rochester; his brother, Dale (Theresa) Marquart, from Tucson, Arizona; mother in law, Darlene Aisenbrey of Menno, SD; sisters in law Stacey (Craig) Hall of Salem, MO; Kiya (Shane) Lawson of Quinn, SD. He had several nieces and nephews: Amina and Camille Marquart, Colton and Jordan Kelly, Allison and Nicole Hall, and his great-nephew Karson Bridger. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive him. His parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, his brother-in-law Jim Kelly and his nephew Jori Kelly, preceded him in death. Memorial services for David W. Marquart, 59, of Rochester will be at 1:00pm on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Zumbro Lutheran Church with the Rev. Lisa Kipp officiating.Inurnment will be at the church columbarium.Family and friends are welcome to come join his family in remembering him from 5:00 8:00pm on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home. A visitation will also be one hour prior to the memorial service at the church.
