David Lewis Petree

David Lewis Petree, 83, of Rochester passed away peacefully Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Cottagewood Senior Communities. David was born July 20, 1933 in Okmulgee, OK to Louis and Verne (Weltheimer) Petree. He was a veteran of the US Army, proudly serving his country during the Korean War. David worked as a police officer for the Blackwell OK Police Department, an engine mechanic for Mertz Inc. in Ponca City OK and an over the road truck driver for Sitton Motor Lines of Joplin MO. and after retiring he enjoyed woodworking and fishing. David is survived by his wife Mary of Rochester; son, David P. (Belinda) Petree of Grove, OK; grandchild, Jared (Mandy) Petree; 2 great-grandsons; stepsons, Robert (Gail) Rench and Allen (Dianne) Rench and their families. David was preceded in death by and infant daughter and his parents. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
