David J. Persik

David John Persik, 47, of Oronoco, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at his home on August 10, 2016. Dave was born May 19, 1969 in Hinsdale, IL to Ronald and Dorothy (Ellis) Persik. Dave was a graduate of John Marshall High School and a 1992 graduate of the University of Minnesota Minneapolis, graduating with honors. He majored in Math and Statistics with a minor in Business. Dave worked as an Actuary and web design and programming. He loved well prepared food and loved preparing delicious dishes for family and friends. Dave was fun loving and mischievous, a Mad magazine fan and very spiritual. He played youth hockey, enjoyed riding his ATV, enjoyed water sports and watching his extensive movie collection on his home theater system. Dave had a passion for all types of music and had excellent beer making skills, including growing the hops. Dave is survived by his parents, Ron and Dorothy Dottie Persik; brother, John Persik and niece, Elizabeth Persik, all of Oronoco. Dave was preceded in death by his brother, Greg; grandparents, John Persik, Marjorie Persik Glazier, Steve Glazier and Fred and Sue Ellis. A visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 PM Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW., Rochester.
