David H. Bertsinger

David H. Bertsinger, age 81, of Oronoco, MN died on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Hospital St. Marys Campus in Rochester. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm. on Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes. The visitation will be from 4:00 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The burial will be in Oronoco Cemetery at a later date. David Herbert Bertsinger was born on January 8, 1935, in Rochester, MN to Herbert and Dorothy (King) Bertsinger. He attended country school through the 8th grade. On November 14, 1953, he married Bernice Kundert at the Little Brown Church, in Nashua, IA. David was an iron worker, farmed with his wife on the family farm, and was a milk hauler for several years. After his retirement, he was a mechanic and drove school bus in the Rochester area. He enjoyed camping especially at Steve and Joy's cabin near Alma Center, WI. David's passion was his own antique tractors and his antique toy tractor collection. David is survived by his wife, Bernice; sons, Michael Bertsinger of Medford, WI and Steven (Joy) Bertsinger of Oronoco; grandsons, Lee (Renee) , Josh (special friend, Toni), Brandon (Rachel) Bertsinger,Aaron (fiance Aunie) Jeremy (Jill) and Blaine (Chelsie); granddaughter, Tressa; 6 great-grandsons and 4 great-granddaughters; sister, LaVonne (Jay) Hess of Rochester; brother, LaVerne (Sharon) of Oronoco. David was preceded in death by his son, Keith; brother, Glen Bertsinger and daughter-in-law, Judy Bertsinger.
