David F. Starin

David F. Starin, 72, of Rochester, MN passed away Monday, January 9, 2017 at Olmsted Medical Center. David Fredric Starin was born July 27, 1944 to Raymond and Leona (Alitz) Starin in Eau Claire, WI. David graduated from Eau Claire High School. He worked for the Milwaukee Railroad before moving to Lake City, MN where he worked for the Soo Line Railroad, later to be known as Canadian Pacific. David married Mary Morgren on December 1, 1984. David and Mary moved to Hastings MN in 1989 and to Oronoco in 2001. David retired from Canadian Pacific in July of 2003. The couple had just recently moved to Rochester. David is survived by his wife, Mary of Rochester, MN; four children, Todd (Lisa) Starin of Pine Island, MN, Bradley (Lisa) Starin of Prior Lake, MN, Cory Starin of Eau Claire, WI and Raymond (Erika) Starin of Red Wing, MN; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. David is preceded in death by his parents. There will be a Memorial Visitation on Friday, January 13, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes.
