David E Spavin

David Edward Spavin, 58, of Plainview, died on July 25, 2020 at Green Prairie Rehabilitation Center in Plainview. David was born on May 21, 1962 in Minneapolis, MN to Richard and Adele Spavin. He attended St. Coletta of Wisconsin. David enjoyed bike riding, swimming, listening to music and playing his trombone and accordion. He loved listening to marching band and polka music. He also loved watching sports, mostly the Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Twins. David participated in the local Special Olympics in swimming for several years. David loved thunder. He and Dick often sat in the garage and watched the storms. David would often thank God directly for a loud crash of thunder, "Thanks God, I needed that." David is survived by his mother, Adele Spavin; brother, Mark (Kay) Spavin; nephews, Derek Spavin and Casey Coughlan; niece, Sara (Spavin) Hoeft and brother-in-law, John Coughlan. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Spavin; sister, Kathe (Spavin) Coughlan and nephew, Corey Coughlan. Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Spavin family.
