David Charles Cannons, 28, of Rochester, MN. passed away Wednesday, April 6th, 2016. David was born in Rochester on July 8, 1987 to Paul and Katie (Gurney) Cannons. He graduated from John Marshall High School in 2005. David worked for Menards and in 2006 started working for McNelius Truck Manufacturing and Oshkosh Defense Tactical Vehicle Manufacturing in Kuwait and Afghanistan for five years.He enjoyed motorcycle riding, boating and camping, road trips with friends and family, and country music. He is survived by his mother, Katie Cannons of Rochester; sister, Tiffany Cannons of Rochester; brother, Brian Cannons of Daytona Beach, FL; maternal grandmother Lois Gurney of Vadnais Heights, MN; nephew Carson Mueller; aunts, uncles, cousins and his dog, Chaz. David was preceded in death by his father Paul in 2012, his paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather. A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Monday, April 11, 2016 at Evangel United Methodist Church 2645 North Broadway Rochester, MN.Visitation will be held Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester and 1 hour prior to the service Monday at the church. Reverend Phil Strom will be officiating with interment at Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester.Memorials may be designated to N.A.M.I. National Alliance for Mental Illness.
