Darwyn E. Kilian

Darwyn E. Kilian, age 75, of Rochester, died on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at Green Prairie Assisted Living in Plainview surrounded by his family. Darwyn was born on September 5, 1943, in Albert Lea, to Lester and Isabelle (Farr) Kilian. He graduated from Blooming Prairie High School and Minnesota State University - Mankato. Darwyn worked at Associated Grocery in Blooming Prairie. On June 3, 1967, he married Mary Ann Wilkens at St. James, MN. Darwyn worked at IBM in Rochester before starting Kilian Bros Trucking with his brothers and later his son. Darwyn was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. He enjoyed working and driving his fleet of Peterbilt Tractor Trucks and Trailers and Allis Chalmers Antique Tractors. He is survived by his children, Jason (fiancée Wendy Winestofer) Kilian and Sarah (Jeff) Fieseler both of Rochester; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; brother, Adrian (Dorothy) Kilian of Geneva, MN. Darwyn was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann; parents and brother, Kenneth. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 28, 2019, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes with Reverend Karen Hagen Moskalik officiating. The visitation will be from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 27, 2019, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
