ROCHESTER:Darryn D. Liedl, 22, of Rochester, MN. died Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. Darryn David Liedl was born August 20, 1992 in Rochester, MN. to David and Tracy (Johnson) Liedl. Darryn graduated from John Marshall High School in 2011.He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, also enjoyed numerous sports especially hockey which he played for 11 years, and watching his favorite team, the Colorado Avalanche. Darryn is survived by his father, David Liedl of Eyota, MN.; his mother, Tracy Liedl of Rochester, MN.; maternal grandmother, Delores Johnson of Rochester, MN; paternal grandfather Jeffrey (Deb) Liedl of Gold Canyon, AZ; and paternal grandmother Marie (Art Castillo) Liedl of Mission, TX , and many aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Darold Johnson. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church 400 5th Avenue SW in Rochester, MN. with Reverend Nancy Wheeler Handlon officiating.Visitation will be held Monday, October 6, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and 1 hr prior to the service Tuesday at the church.Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery Rochester, MN. Memorials are preferred to the family.
