Darrell "Ron" Parish

Darrell Ron Parish, 66, of Stewartville, MN passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at his residence. Darrell Ronald Parish was born April 6, 1949 in Watertown, SD to Darrell and Shirley (Erickson) Parish.Ron served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1967-1970.He married Diane Bradshaw on August 14, 1976 at the Little Brown Church.Ron worked for Firstbank/U.S. Bank for 10 years as a data processing manager.Ron dedicated many hours volunteering and supporting the Rochester VFW, where he worked as gambling manager for 25 years retiring in April of 2014. Ron was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. Ron enjoyed fishing, road trips to casinos, playing games, cards and loved eagles.Ron especially enjoyed his time spent with his family and friends. Ron is survived by his step children, Tim Gilbert of Minneapolis, MN, Debra (Steve) Rommel of Dover, DE, Barbara (Jeff) Schriever of Byron, MN and Thomas (Brenda) Gilbert of Rochester, MN; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Bonnie Lucht of Corona, CA and Lisa Parish of Rochester, MN; and one brother, Lon Parish of Rochester, MN.He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane; his parents; and three brothers. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes Chapel with Scott Eggert officiating.Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday.Inurnment will take place at Grandview Memorial Gardens with Military Honors provided by the Rochester V.F.W. Post 1215.
