Darrell K. Crawford

Darrell K. Crawford, age 70, of Byron, died unexpectedly on Monday, August 3, 2015. Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2015, at Christ Lutheran Church in Byron, with Pastor Steve Rheingans officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2015, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester and one hour prior to the service at the church. Darrell Keeler Crawford was born on December 5, 1944, to Llewylln and Phyllis (Franck) Crawford. He graduated from John Marshall High School in 1962 and attended vocational-technical school to become a machinist.On November 4, 1967, he married Susan Nelson at Christ Lutheran Church in Byron. Darrell worked for the Mayo Clinic St. Mary's Hospital as an electrician for over 40 years. He also volunteered for the local fire department in Byron for over 30 years. Darrell enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling, and in his earlier years hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren's sporting events. Darrell is survived by his wife, Susan of Byron; children, Matthew Crawford of Chatfield, Becky (Colin) Oorlog of Morristown and Michael (Charlsey) Crawford of Weston, FL; grandchildren, Adrianna, Mitchell and Alexandria Crawford, Sadie, Spencer and Casey Oorlog, Avery and Hayden Crawford. Darrell was preceded in death by his grandson, Hunter Crawford; parents; and sister, Laurene Patterson.
