Darlene E. Carstensen

Darlene Elaine (Eggert) Carstensen, age 78, of Kasson, died of natural causes on Thursday, December 10, 2015, at Mayo Clinic Hospital St. Marys Campus in Rochester. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Kasson, with Rev. Dana O'Brien officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Wildwood Cemetery in Wasioja. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the family. She was born on July 9, 1937, in Kasson, MN, to Herman Butch and Letha Eggert. Darlene lived in Dodge County all her life.On November 3, 1956, she married Clinton Ellis Carstensen in Rock Dell. They lived in rural Kasson all their married life. Darlene is survived by her daughters, Becky Raines of Bristol, IN and Evon Louks, Sebeka, MN; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sisters, Carole Hotchkiss of Lonsdale, MN and Janet Canfield of Osseo, MN; brothers, August Eggert of West Concord and Richard Eggert of Kasson. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton who died on June 26, 2006; sons, Kenneth and David; parents; six brothers and one sister.
