Can you imagine a world where you are grateful for every day? Where you never stay upset with anyone for more than 15 minutes? Where you can get really, really excited about the small things in life, like a Dairy Queen treat, a boat ride, or going to the county fair?
Daniel Sadler was the very definition of 'letting your light shine' to all those around him, while working at Ability Building Community or living with his housemates at Bear Creek Service's Cedar Hills House. He was insistent on shaking everyone's hands - twice! - just to make sure you knew that he was just really that excited to meet you. His gentle character was always amenable to participating in anything that anyone suggested, like swimming in the Special Olympics, even after turning 63 years of age. He also loved to go bowling with his friends.
Daniel was patient. Daniel was kind. Dan had a wonderful time last week at Badger Camp in Wisconsin, where he was awarded the Mr. Sunshine award... which is such a perfect way to describe him. Dan is the best example of love. The best example of how to live. Today we celebrate together that Daniel is now complete in his purpose. In the arms of his Heavenly Father, Mr. Sunshine is completely and wonderfully joyful.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial donations to be made out to Bear Creek Services.
Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes is honored to be serving the Sadler family.
