Daniel Dan D. Moore, age 70 of Byron, MN died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, November 26, 2015. He was born on July 11, 1945 and raised in St. Paul, MN.He graduated from Cretin in 1963; then went to Northwest Technical School to study electronics.After graduation he moved to Rochester to work at IBM.Dan married Sandra Berndt on November 25, 1966.Dan left IBM to work on his own TV repair business, at the same time he built a radio station in Wisconsin Dells.Dan was offered a job at Saint Marys Hospital in electronics and later became Construction Manager for the Mayo Clinic. Dan enjoyed Nascar races and going to the Indy 500 every year with a friend.He also enjoyed being an amateur radio operator (HAM), at the time he got his license he was the youngest person in MN to receive an amateur license; he had a FCC license which helped when he built and worked on a radio station. Dan is survived by his wife, Sandra; two sons, Mark (Amanda) and Peter (Chauntel); and three grandchildren, Nicholas, Thomas and Mikaela.He is preceded in death by his mother. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes.Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.Private family burial will take place at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
