Dana Dale Michel

Dana Dale Michel, 57, passed away Friday, December 23, 2016 at Fairview Care Center with his family by his side. Dana fought a very courageous battle with his physical disabilities. He was born August 6, 1959 to Dale and Lucille (Atkinson) Michel in Rochester, MN. He graduated from John Marshall High School in 1977. He married Susan Gifford in 1980. They were later divorced. Dana returned to college graduating from RCTC with a electronics degree. On October 5, 1996, he married Kaye Brandt in Spring Valley. Dana worked for several area businesses over the years including Marigold Foods, Waters Instruments, Home Depot and NRI Electronics. He enjoyed working with wood, hunting, fishing, riding snowmobile, 4-wheeler and his motorcycle. He had a great love for animals, and the outdoors, and quiet times. He also enjoyed the MN. Vikings. He truly enjoyed his granddaughter Katelynn. He is survived by his wife, Kaye, stepdaughter Amy Bethke (Chad) of Owatonna, granddaughter Katelynn, sisters Laurie Christopherson (Dan) Oronoco, Lynne Thompson (Mike) Rochester, Lisa Michel (Mark Weimer) Rochester, brother Dean (Alicia) Zumbro Falls and parents Dale and Lucille Michel, Rochester, and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents. Thank you to Fairview Care Center for your loving care you gave Dana. You became his second family. Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
