Dale R. Erickson

Dale Ronald Erickson, 70 of Rochester, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 14, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. Dale was born June 26, 1944 in Faribault to Arthur and Myrtle (Kuhlman) Erickson, and was a graduate of Faribault High School. He was a truck driver for Kemps Foods for 40 years. On September 28, 1984, Dale married Patty Grant at Peace United Church of Christ in Rochester. He served in the Army Reserves. Dale was quite an outdoors man and he loved gardening, tractors, camping, old cars, bowling and fishing. Above all, Dale loved spending time and making memories with his family. Dale is survived by his wife, Patty; daughters, Paula (Scott) Melver of Preston, MN, Tami (Dave) Timbeross of Rochester, Tiffani (Matt) Tjepkes of Baldwin, WI; six grandchildren, Tim (Karla) Melver, Katie Melver, Jordan Timbeross, Olivia Tjepkes, Jaiden Tjepkes and Grant Tjepkes; sister, Dianne (Bruce) Erickson of Wright, MN; sister-in-law, Gerry Erickson of Faribault and a host of other family and friends. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Myrtle and his two brothers, Eugene and Lowell. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Peace United Church of Christ, 1503 2nd Ave. NE, Rochester, MN 55906. Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 pm Friday, September 19, 2014 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, and one hour prior to the service at the church. The Rev. Paul Bauch will be officiating with interment at Waltham Cemetery, Waltham, MN.
