Dale E. Wittlief

A memorial service for Dale E. Wittlief, 83, of Oronoco will be at 11:00 am on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Grace Lutheran Church in Oronoco. Visitation will be on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial of Dale, and his wife Gloria's cremated remains will be at the Oronoco Cemetery following the service on Friday. Dale Emil Wittlief was born on June 9, 1935 in Douglas, MN to Alfred and Hilda (Karlen) Wittlief. He died on November 13, 2018 at Cottagewood in Rochester. Dale attended Kings Park Country School. He farmed and later worked as a heavy equipment operator for Quarve & Anderson Co. On February 18, 1956 he married Gloria Klingsporn in Oronoco. Dale was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and was a church trustee. He enjoyed four-wheeling, tractors, deer hunting, playing cards and cooking. He especially enjoyed Sunday family dinners and watching football. Survivors include two sons, Steve (Diane) Wittlief of Oronoco and Kevin Wittlief of Rose Creek; one daughter, Susan Wittlief of Oronoco; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren; three brothers, Clair Wittlief, Kenneth (Lorraine) Wittlief and Lyle Wittlief, all of Oronoco. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and daughter, Debra. Memorials can be directed to Heartland Hospice.
