Cyrus John Hackensmith

DODGE CENTER- Cyrus John Hackensmith, 11, of Dodge Center passed away Sunday March 10, 2013 at St Marys Hospital in Rochester due to medical complications related to Juvenile Dermatomyositis.He followed in death his identical twin brother Jared, who died in May of 2001.Cyrus was born to Jamie Pater and Bruce Hackensmith on May 10, 2001.He was a fifth grader at Triton School.Cyrus lived a happy, care free life, and nothing got his spirits down. He always had a smile on his face, despite his illness and personal struggles. He had a special hug daily for those he cared about, enjoying his love for life and everyone and everything in it.He is survived by his mother, Jamie Pater; stepfather, Adam Booth both of Dodge Center; his father, Bruce Hackensmith of Austin; sister Pamala Pater and brother Dakota Hackensmith both of Dodge Center; grandfather Dennis Pater of Waltham; and grandmother, Janet Hackensmith of Austin. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Jared; grandmother Pamela Jean Pater, and grandfather Harry Hackensmith.Memorial services will be held 2 PM Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Praise Fellowship Church in Dodge Center, with visitation one hour before the services at church.
