Curtis K. Diercks

Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home ROCHESTER, MINN:Curtis K. Diercks, 72, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Season's Hospice in Rochester, MN. Curtis Kermit Diercks wasborn October 12, 1940 to Kermit and Lorna (Klindworth) Diercks in Red Wing, MN. He graduatedfrom Goodhue High School in 1958. Curtis worked as a delivery driver for Reynold's Wholesale from 1969-1995 and then Daube's Bakery until he retired in 2006. He married Rachel Boyum on May 24, 1969 in Pine Island, MN. She died on August 3, 1995. He later married Sandra E. Meyer on September 5, 2003 in Rochester, MN. He enjoyed Old Time Dancing, square dancing, playing cards, watching sports and gardening. Curtis was a regular blood donor and enjoyed volunteering to help kindergarten children to learn to read. He was a member of Zumbro Lutheran Church. Curtis is survived by his wife, Sandy Diercks, Rochester, MN; a daughter Nicole Diercks, Rochester, MN; two brothers; Dallas (Brooke) Diercks, Sun Prairie, WI and Eugene (Peggy) Diercks, Oak Park Heights, MN; three step-sons, Tracy (Susan) Serfoss, Preston, MN, William (Susan) Frazer, Spring Valley, MN, and Robert Frazer, Decorah, IA; three step-grandsons, Dallas Serfoss, Nathanial Frazer, and Benjamin Frazer. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Rachel, and a brother Lyle. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 2, 2013 at Zumbro Lutheran Church in Rochester. A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m,. on Thursday, August 1. 2013 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home and one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 2, 2013in Pine Island Cemetery, Pine Island, MN.
