Cora Ann Antes

Cora Ann Haber Antes passed away on August 21, 2016 in Rochester, MN where she has been residing since March of this year. Cora was born October 13, 1926 to John and Mary Haber of Schenectady, NY. The fourth of nine children, she graduated from the Cadet Nursing Program at St. Marys Hospital School of Nursing in Amsterdam, NY in 1948. With a Nursing career spanning nearly fifty years, Cora worked at hospitals in Schenectady, NY, Greenwich, CT, Long Beach, CA and Santa Ana, CA. On July 6, 1968 Cora married Jack E. Antes in Long Beach, CA and then moved to Tustin, CA. They retired to Reno, NW in 1995. Cora is survived by her step-son, John Jack (Elizabeth) Antes of Reno, NV and their two children, Warren and Shannon Antes; her step-granddaughter, Kathleen (Richard) Koch of Rochester, MN and their three children, Owen (Erin), Amanda and Emily Koch. Cora is also survived by her siblings, Sr. Rita Haber of Latham, NY, Lottie (Jack) Burke of Carson City, NV, Donald (Mary Ellen) Haber of Florence, OR, Claudia (Hank) Brodsky of Poquoson, VA and James Haber of Schenectady, NY. Cora is preceded in death by her husband, Jack E. Antes, her parents, John and Mary Haber; siblings, John Haber, Jr., Ruth Willsie and Mary Faye. A private funeral service will be held on August 23, 2016 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes in Rochester, MN. A second service will be held at the Chapel at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery in Reno, NV on August 25, 2016 where she will be entombed in the Mausoleum.
