Connie Lee Thomsen

ROCHESTER, MINN:Connie L. Thomsen, 61, died Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at her home in Rochester. Connie Lee Carlson was born September 11, 1952 to Arley and Agnes (Wuollet) Carlson in Rochester, MN. Connie graduated from Mayo High School in Rochester in 1970. She married Scott Muckelberg on July 17, 1971 and he later died in 1977. She married Dick Thomsen on August 9, 1980. Connie was an avid ice skater and a member of the Rochester Skating Club. She also enjoyed working in her yard. Connie was an avid football fan, especially the Minnesota Vikings. It was not uncommon on Sundays for Vikings games for her and her yellow lab Maddy to have tailgating parties together. Connie is survived by her mother Agnes Carlson, Rochester, MN; a daughter Leah (Darcy) Thomsen-Sparrow, Rochester, MN and a son Jeffery Thomsen, Rochester, MN and her granddaughter Taylor Thomsen, Rochester, MN; a brother Keith (Sally) Carlson, Eau Claire, WI; her best friend, Adrienne Reynolds and several nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her father Arley Carlson, a husband Scott Muckelberg, and her sister Denise Carlson-Long. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Autumn Ridge Church, Timothy Chapel with Rev. C. John Steer officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. A private family burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Autumn Ridge Church or the donors choice.
