Clarence "Lucky" L. Bjugan

Clarence "Lucky" L. Bjugan, 90, of Pine Island, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Pine Haven Care Center. Clarence was born January 28, 1924 in Zumbrota, MN to Carl and Lillian (Rolland) Bjugan. He was a charter member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and also created and was the president of the Musicians Union. Clarence was the founder of Cousin Lucky and the Jolly Jokers band for over 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing music, horseshoes, coaching baseball and being a cub scout leader. Clarence loved being around people but especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Clarence is survived by his loving wife, Carol; children, Debra (Terry) Throndson of Rochester, Brett (Teresa Odell) Bjugan of Pine Island; grandchildren, Bailey Bjugan, Dawsin Bjugan, Trent Bjugan, Tiahna Flemming and by his sister, Carol Severson of Stewartville. Clarence was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Bjugan and by his parents, Carl and Lillian. A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Monday, July 21, 2014 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester. Visitation will be held 2:00-5:00 PM Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
