Cindy Wiebusch

Cynthia K. Wiebusch, 66, of Rochester, MN, formerly of Byron, MN, passed away on February 7, 2024 at Cottagewood Senior Communities in Rochester.

Cynthia K. (Deming) Wiebusch was born on February 2, 1958 to parents Duane and Marge Deming at Wabasha Hospital. She graduated from Plainview High School in 1976, and was voted Wabasha County's Dairy Princess that same year. On August 20th of 1977, Cynthia married the love of her life, Gary Wiebusch, and the couple had two children, Lindsay and Matthew. Cynthia then went on to study nursing at St. Teresa College, graduating with her RN in 1980. She worked as an RN at Mayo Clinic in Rochester for 40 years.

Some of her favorite hobbies growing up included showing horses, spending time with her family, and scrapping with her scrapping sisters. She was an avid Vikings and Twins fan, enjoyed watching youth sports and loved Christmas.

Cynthia is survived by her husband, Gary; her children, Lindsay (Matthew) Mulvihill, and Matthew (Mara) Wiebusch; grandchildren, Garrett, Crosby, Mason and Millie; sisters, Lori (Dan) Klassen, Sharon (Pete) Schouweiler, Annie (Steve) Wolf, Suzanne (John) Ellingson, sister-in-law, Susan Wiebusch; brother-in-law, Michael (Marilyn) Wiebusch; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Duane and Marge Deming; parents in law, Harold and Margery Wiebusch; a brother; a niece; and her grandparents.

A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Pax Christi Catholic Church (4135 18th Ave NW, Rochester, MN 55901) with Father Tom Loomis officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes (5421 Royal Pl. NW Rochester, MN 55901) as well as one hour prior to the service at the church.
