Cindy D. Lundquist, age 76, of Rochester, died on Monday, August 27, 2018, at Cottagewood Senior Communities in Rochester. A celebration of life will be from 3:00-7:00 pm on Friday, August 31, 2018, at Ranfranz and Vine Remembrance and Reception Centre, 5482 Royal Place NW, Rochester MN 55901. Casual dress and attire is encouraged. She was born on July 4, 1942, in Minneapolis, MN to Wesley and Josephine (Besonen) Hardy. She graduated from Algona High School in Iowa. While attending high school she met the love of her life, Richard "Dick" Lundquist and they married on September 15, 1962. Cindy received her bachelors degree in education from Mankato State University. She taught in Mapleton, MN before moving to Rochester. She taught at Jefferson Elementary School before staying at home to raise their two daughters, Kristy and Julie. Dick died in November, 1996. Cindy later returned to Hoover Elementary School and Churchhill Elementary School working as a paraprofessional in the classrooms. Cindy's family will always remember how she wanted to make everyone happy and her many selfless acts. She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time with the grandkids in the workshop, at their activities/sporting events and treating them to Flapdoodles. Cindy enjoyed doing puzzles, crafts, reading countless books, supporting the Green Bay Packers, traveling and going on vacations with her family. Her favorite spots were being on the Mississippi River or being at home with her loved ones. She also enjoyed needlework, which included Christmas (her favorite holiday) stockings she gifted to family and friends. Cindy is survived by her daughter, Kristy (Mike) Flanaghan of Rochester and Julie (Seth) Nelson of Antigo, WI; grandchildren, Nick, Landon, Delaney and Addie.
