Christina Johanna Grueger ( "Christa") Stagnari passed away at Charter House in Rochester, Minnesota on September 9, 2022. She was born on February 27, 1927 to Paul and Anna (Hein) Grueger in Breslau, Germany. Christina emigrated to the United States as a young adult. Education was important to her. She completed a course of study at Donovan Secretarial College in 1955; later Christina went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and a Master of Arts degree from Columbia University. Still later, she taught college courses at Paramus College in New Jersey. Christina married Elliott Stagnari in 1957; he died in 2008. Christina moved to Charter House in 2005. She enjoyed being a part of the Charter House family. She was an avid walker and a regular at the Corner Cupboard. Christina is survived by her sister, Evamaria Froehlich of Germany; nephew Bernd (Ingrid) Froehlich of Germany; great-niece Marie-Christin Weber of Germany; and great-nephew Martin Froehlich of Austria.
