Charles "Charlie" F. Taylor

Memorial services for Charles (Charlie) F. Taylor, 71, of Stewartville will be at 10:00am on Friday, August 5, 2016 at St. Bernards Catholic Church in Stewartville. Visitation will be from 5:00 8:00pm on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and also one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Stewartville. Charlie was born July 13, 1945 in Stewartville to Floyd and Myrle (Amos) Taylor. He passed away on July 29, 2016 from complications of Alzheimers at Cottagewood in Rochester. Charlie graduated from Stewartville High School in 1963. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1965-1967. On February 24, 1968, he married Janet Bissen at St. Bernards Catholic Church. Charlie was a cabinet maker and owned and operated Taylors Cabinets in High Forest for over 40 years. He was a fireman with the Stewartville Fire Department for 20 years. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, being with family and friends, and watching the grandkids play sports. He was a member of St. Bernards Catholic Church and the American Legion in Stewartville. Survivors include his wife, Janet of Rochester; daughters, Tammy (Steve) Monson of Rochester and Shelly (Dan) Gronseth of Byron; grandchildren, Wyatt and Cassie Vagt and Hannah and Mason Gronseth; step-mother, Evelyn Taylor of Kasson; brothers, Dan (Nancy) Taylor of Rochester, Jeff (Mary) Taylor of Stewartville and Jimmy Stockselth of Medford, Oregon; sisters, Linda Vaupel of Stewartville, Marlene (Dave) Marsh of Rosemount, MN and Missy Taylor of Dodge Center.
