Charles "Chuck" Richard Podolske

Charles "Chuck" R. Podolske, 75 of Rochester, MN died Monday, May 11, 2020 at his residence. Charles Richard Podolske was born October 29, 1944 to Fred and Alma (Grutzmacher) Podolske in Rochester, MN. He grew up in Rochester and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1962. On July 11, 1964 he married Julie Schmidt at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rochester. He worked for Pepsi and General Warehouse. In 1975 he started working at IBM as a buyer. He also worked for Pemstar and drove a school bus for First Student with his daughter, Jenna which he enjoyed to the fullest. Julie passed away on July 5, 2018 from cancer. He enjoyed hunting and shooting at the gun range with his buddies, fishing, staying at the cabin and boating. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Chuck is survived by his son, Jeff Podolske of Rochester, MN; daughter, Jenna (Al) Sanders of Rochester; four grandchildren, Tia, Konnor, Brooklin, Kamron; and his father-in-law, Art Schmidt. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; three brothers, Don, Harold and Dick; and one sister, Margaret Nygaard.
