Funeral services for Charles Chuck C. Jacobsen, 70, of Hayward, WI (formerly of Rochester, MN) will be at 2:00pm on Friday, September 25, 2015 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes.Visitation will be from 6:00 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and also one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the American Legion Post #92. Charles Clifton Jacobsen was born on November 9, 1944 in Humboldt, IA to Carl and Lela (Kinseth) Jacobson.He passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at his home in Hayward, WI. Chuck graduated from Hayfield High School in 1962 and served in the United States Navy as a radioman from 1962-1966.On August 26, 1967 he maried Elaine Schwanke in Rochester.He worked as a Surgeon's Assistant at Mayo Clinic for 35 years.They lived on Lake Zumbro for 25 years and he enjoyed boating, fishing, camping and snowmobiling.He was a member of the American Legion Post #92 and he loved sports, especially watching NASCAR.At one time he raced stock cars around the Rochester area.Chuck and Elaine moved to Hayward, WI in 2001. Survivors include his wife, Elaine of Hayward, WI; his son, Troy (Andrea) of Burnsville, MN; three brothers, Arvin (Kareen) of New Prague, MN, Terry (Marilyn) of Rochester, MN and Lonnie (Deb) of Rochester, MN; four sisters, Shelda (Alan) Storm of Dover, MN, Twila (John) Beck of Byron, MN, Carla (Les) Berning of Plainview, MN and Leanna (Dana) Meyer of Kasson, MN.He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Alvin.
