ROCHESTER, MINN:Charles (Buck) Walter Schultz, 65, of Rochester, died suddenly on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Season's Hospice. Charles was born June 1, 1947 in Minneapolis, MN to Walter and Maxine (Worrall) Schultz. He graduated from John Marshall High School in 1965 and then served in the Army from 1965 to 1968.After his military service, he worked at the Kahler Hotel and Barlow Foods. Charles spent his last thirty five years working for the City of Rochester. He retired in October of 2009. Charles was involved in many sporting activities, umpiring, refereeing, playing and watching. He also enjoyed traveling and listening to Old Country Music. Some of his favorites were Bill Anderson and Conway Twitty. Charles married Donis Margaret Erickson on October 1, 1988 at Trinity Lutheran Church. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a volunteer for Rochesterfest. Charles is survived by his wife Donis, his mother Maxine Schultz of Rochester; a sister Karen (Richard) Grotberg of Baudette, MN and many nieces, nephews, special cousins, and friends. He is also survived by sister-in-laws, Shirley (Kae) Goodwin of Barnum, MN, Elaine Brandt of Rochester, and Gail (Dean) Linse of Mantorville, MN; and brother-in-law, Gary (Kathie) Erickson of Millville, MN.He was preceded in death by his father Walter. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 4, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. William Otte and Rev. Joel Haack officiating. Visitation will from from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home and one hour before the service on Monday, March 4, 2013 at the church. Private family burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church Sign Fund or Season's Hospice.
