Cecilia Fritsch

Cecilia Fritsch, 99 of Rochester, MN passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at her residence. Cecilia Klein was born August 24, 1917 to Michael and Margaret (Jahner) Klein in Mott, North Dakota. She married Don Fritsch at St. Johns Catholic Church in Rochester on July 6, 1937. Don passed away March 29, 2007. Cecilia worked at Saint Marys Hospital for over 40 years. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Her cinnamon rolls were the best. She enjoyed being around family and they always came first. Cecilia is survived by her daughters, Charlotte (Sonny) Riddle of Rochester and Shirleyann (Ray) Dee of Rochester; six grandchildren, Charleen (Ron) Huber, Cheryl (Pat) Caron, Cristin (Joe) Oelfke, Todd (Kelly) Dee, Troy (Kristin) Dee and Tara (Kyle) Gehling; 13 great-grandchildren, Emily Huber, Casey Huber, Ben Caron, Victoria Caron, Claire Oelfke, Nick Oelfke, Allison Dee, Hunter Dee, Avery Dee, Holly Dee, Ashton Sanders, Jason Gehling and Trevor Gehling; one brother, Ray (Shirley) Klein of Squim, WA; and a sister, Margaret (Matt) Helfrich of Billings, MT. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don; and her siblings, Frank, Pete, Sam, Mary, Anton, Kasper, Joe, Michael, Kate, Irene, and Emma. There will be a Memorial Mass held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church (1600 11th Avenue SE). Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens at a later date. The family prefers memorials to St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
