Caryl D. Ripley, 74, of Kasson, passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 at St. Marys Hospital. Caryl was born July 2, 1941 in Olmsted County to Harvey and Elizabeth (Fuchs) Ripley. Caryl was a graduate of John Marshall High School. Caryl worked at the post office, Clements, Marigold Dairy but ultimately started and finished his career farming. He enjoyed woodworking, watching baseball and his grandsons' football games, John Deere Tractors and playing cards, especially 500. Caryl loved working with his hands and was crafty in carpentry, building his own home, shed and various other projects. He was a hardworking, somewhat impatient man with a very soft heart for everything especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the Rochester Eagles and attended Bethel Lutheran Church. Caryl is survived by his children, Tamara Schultz of Kasson, Tim (Lisa) Ripley of Kasson, Tiffani Ripley of Kasson; grandchildren, Dylan, Brandon, Bryan, Zach and Collin. Caryl was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sandra and by his parents, Harvey and Elizabeth. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Bethel Lutheran Church, 810 3rd Ave. SE., Rochester with Rev. Jason Burggraff officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until time of the service at the church. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Pine Island Cemetery.
