Wall, Carol Sept 10, 1924 Nov 27, 2015, 91. Carol Mame Wall, formerly of Byron, Minnesota passed away Nov 27, 2015 and is now in the presence of her Lord. A memorial service will be held at Oasis Church in Rochester Friday Dec 4th.Visitation at 10AM and service at 11AM. In lieu of Flowers,donations to Camp Victory Scholarship are desired. Carol had a wonderful career as a Byron, MN kindergarten teacher and was loved and cherished by all for her fun-loving and energetic personality. She loved the Lord and lived a life of service that included teaching Sunday school, volunteering with numerous organizations, and opening up the Wall family home to foster children, and foreign exchange students. Born Carol Mame Woodbury, Sept 9, 1924 daughter of Frank and Fanny Woodbury of Page, ND. Carol sang and excelled at the piano and flute. She played in the University of Minnesota marching band and graduated with an Education degree in 1946. She then taught elementary school in Minneapolis and married Milton Fritz Wall July 9, 1949. In 1960 they moved to Byron, MN where they lived for 53 years and were charter members of Oasis Church in Rochester (formerly Elim Baptist). Fritz and Carol were happily married for 66 years. They also led a Sunday School Mission for the American Missionary Fellowship in Wasioja, Mn and she volunteered as a cook during summers for Camp Victory, in Zumbro Falls, Mn, for many years. She enjoyed attending school events and social clubs in Byron. For the last 3 years of her life Carol was a beloved resident at the Evergreen Trail memory community at Cerenity Senior Care in White Bear Lake. Carol is survived by her loving husband, Fritz; son, Bing (Mary Sue) Wall of Ames, IA; daughter, Cindi (Craig) Van Ausdall of White Bear Lake; and son, Chip (Diane) Wall of Sarasota, FL. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren: Marty Wall, Cassi (Cameron) Piper, Emilie Wall, Ryan Van Ausdall, Brandon (Philly) Wall, Jeffrey Wall and Danielle Wall, as well by eight great grandchildren: Caden, Alyas, Rori, Lydia Sue, Chase, Caleb, Van and Thomas. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Fanny Woodbury, her brother, Keith Woodbury, and her sister, Vivian Erickson.
