WINKLER Carol Ann Winkler, 78, of Rochester, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Friday, September 13, 2019 at Madonna Meadows, after a long and courageous battle with multiple myeloma. Carol was born January 17, 1941 in Rochester, MN to Eckhardt and Hilda (Larsen) Schultz. She was proud to be in the first graduating class from John Marshall High School in 1959. After graduation, Carol went on to Bethel College for two years and finished her degree in nursing at R.C.C. She worked at The Mayo Clinic, Methodist Hospital for 21 years. Carol was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she was also very active in teaching Sunday school, volunteered in the nursery, taught Awana and was a devoted member of the church choir. She enjoyed horseback riding in her younger years and was a foster parent for developmentally disabled children. Most of all, Carol loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
