Calvin Albert Neumann

Calvin Albert Neumann, age 89 of Rochester passed away April 6, 2014 at Samaritan Bethany.Born February 5, 1925 in Viola Township of Rochester, MN to Oscar & Eva (Loos) Neumann.He graduated high school and served in the Army during the Korean War.He married Marian Chalmers in 1956 and she preceded him in death in 1979.Calvin was a farmer most of his life, moving off the farm in 1970 and he then went to work in the stock room for Mayo Clinic working there until his retirement in 1987.He was a member of the American Legion and had lived the past three years at Arbor Terrace until moving into the care center recently.He is survived by his son, Joseph Neumann (Sandy) of Cottage Grove, and a daughter, Christine Krupenny of Minneapolis, 2 granddaughters Ashley Schindeldecker (Dan) & Erin and a great granddaughter, Makayla.He was preceded in death by his wife, 1 brother, and 3 sisters.Funeral service will be held 11 AM Friday, April 11, 2014 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.Visitation will be held 9am-11am Friday at the funeral home.
