C. Dennis Mcdonough

C. Dennis McDonough, 70, a long time area pharmacist with Weber and Judd, passed away at St. Marys Hospital on Saturday February 25th, following a brief illness. Dennis was born in Red Wing, MN to Francis and Margaret (O' Reilly) McDonough on December 6, 1941.He attended elementary school in Kellogg thru the 6th grade, St. Mark's in the Cities for 2 years and then St. Felix in Wabasha 9th thru the 11th grade before coming to Rochester.He graduated from John Marshall High School in 1958. He attended Rochester Community College, and the University ofMinnesota obtaining his degree in Pharmacy. He married Jan Peterson at St. Pius Catholic Church in Rochester on August 31, 1968. Dennis started working for Weber and Judd while in High School as a clerk and then as a Pharmacist after college. He became president andexecutive officer of Weber and Judd in 1983, a position he held until retiring in 2010. He was a member of the Olmsted Medical Center Board of Trusteesfrom 2004 to 2011. He enjoyed his family, especially his grandsons, traveling to Hawaii, reading, history, and politics. He is survived by his wife Jan; sons, Patrick S. McDonough (Samantha) and their sons, Sean, Ian, and Lane, of Oronoco, MN, and Christopher M. McDonough (Jodi Briske) of Kasson, MN; sisters, Kathy McDonough of Coral Springs, FL and Ann McDonough of Rochester, MN; brother, Terry McDonough (Jackie) of Maple Grove, MN; many nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and great nephews.He was preceded in death by a sister, Maureen McDonough; and his parents. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Pax Christi Catholic Church on Saturday March 3, 2012 at 11:00A.M. with Rev. Joe Fogel officiating.
