Funeral services for Burnice Davidson, 93, of Rochester, MN will be at 11:00am on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes in Rochester.Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Burnice Schumaker was born on April 20, 1921 in a farmhouse in South Troy with her twin sister, Beatrice.She died on October 22, 2014 at the Samaritan Bethany Home on 8th. Burnice graduated from Rochester High School and married Lloyd Davidson in 1940.The couple farmed in the Zumbro Falls area for a few years. She and Lloyd drove truck for Reed Murdoch and she worked at Waters Connely and later Libby's from 1960-1985. She enjoyed traveling and vacationing in Florida and spending time with her family and grandchildren.She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and enjoyed knitting, playing cards, canning and going to the Country Music Grand Ole Opry. Survivors include her three sons, Dale (Linda) of Orlando, FL, Gerald (Carol) and Steven (Teresa), both of Rochester, MN; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her spouse, Lloyd, three sons, Kenneth, Greg and Duane; one grandson Scotty, one brother, Carl and four sisters, Lola, Margaret, Elsie and Beatrice. Our family was very blessed by our motherssweet heart and loving disposition, and we want to express our very sincere and heartfelt appreciation to each and every caregiver and staff member that looked into those blue eyes of Burnice The Furnace and shared the simple love that was coming from behind them.Thank you Samaritan Bethany on Eighth for thirteen years of caring.
