Brian Eugene Harwick

ROCHESTER, MINN:Brian Harwick, 50, long time resident of Rochester and current resident of Lake City, MN, died Saturday,May 28, 2011 due to an accident at the family's lake home in Lake City. Brian Eugene Harwick was born June 1, 1960 to Leslie and Helen (Batzel) Harwick in Rochester, MN. Brian graduated from Mayo High School in 1978 and worked at Marigold Foods as a Machine Operator and Foreman for 22 years; and currently for Books Are Fun in Lake City, MN. Brian enjoyed fishing, camping, music, bike riding, all sports, and walking and playing with his dog, Maggie May. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends. Brian is survived by his daughter Ashley Harwick and his grand daughter, Mia Harwick, both of Rochester, his father Leslie Harwick, Rochester, MN, his sister Nancy (Michael) Knutson, his niece and nephew Ryan and Kiley Knutson, both of Rochester, MN, his life-long companion Barb Sperry, Rochester, MN and her children Nicole Sperry, and her daughter Annalyse, Rochester, MN and Alissa Honsey, and her children, Deondre, Tory, and Valorie, Houston, TX; and his beloved dog, Maggie May, for whom he gave his life. Brian was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, his mother Helen Harwick, a brother Thomas Harwick and an infant daughter. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 3, 2011 at Bethel Lutheran Church. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.
