Brenda L. Clarey, 62, of Rochester passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 7th 2021. Brenda was born on July 22nd 1958 in Rochester to Obed and Marlene (Multhaup) Jacobson. She was a graduate of John Marshall High School and went on to attend UW LaCrosse. Brenda met Lynn, the love of her life, while working at Bachman's Floral. They went on to marry June 23rd 1978. Brenda held many supervisory positions over her 30 years at Mayo Clinic, which concluded as Coordinator of Access Operations. Brenda had many great passions in her life, of which included running and walking, kickboxing, reading, baking, knitting and watching sporting events; especially those of her children and grandchildren. Brenda is, was, and forever will be a woman of strong faith and instilled that in her children and grandchildren. Whether she was running a marathon, 5k or on her daily walk; she told her family that running this final race had the greatest ending as she crosses the finish line into God's arms. From going through all of the treatments and even into hospice care, she never let cancer hold her down, and continued to keep lacing up her shoes and logging those miles. Brenda is survived by her beloved husband Lynn of 42 years. Children - Michaun Clarey, Derek J. Clarey and Brian (Beth) Clarey all of Rochester. Grandchildren - Kaelyn, Jaxon, Lauryn, Calla, Croix, ✞. Sisters - Cheri (Warren) Jacobson-Hammel, Terri (Tom) Jacobson-McLaughlin along with a host of other family and friends. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, April 12, 2021 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester and one hour prior to the service at the church. A celebration of Brenda's life will be held 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 2703 9th Ave. NW, Rochester with Pastor Jeff Niederstadt officiating.
