Brandon Scott Scharberg, 26, of Oronoco, formerly of Byron, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Monday, July 20, 2015 at St. Marys Hospital due to complications from Diabetes. Brandon was born June 3, 1989 in Rochester to Rodney and Sandra (Howard) Scharberg. He was a graduate of John Marshall High School and Rochester Vocational Technical Institute. Brandon worked as a service technician at Tom Kadlec Honda and then as a certified ASE mechanic at Midas. He enjoyed hunting, archery, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, remote control cars and helicopters, and spending time with his family, his children, and time on the family farm. Brandon was known for his quirky sense of humor, being kind hearted, empathetic, giving and always putting others needs above his. He is survived by his wife, Brooke Scharberg; children, Ella and Ethan Scharberg; mother, Sandie Scharberg of Rochester; father and stepmother, Rod and Sherry Scharberg of Oronoco; brother, Adam Scharberg of Rochester; stepbrother, Kyle Hansen of Rochester; stepsisters, Kelly (John) Bandy and Katie Hansen both of Rochester; maternal grandparents, Dwight (Stella) Howard of Inver Grove Heights; parental grandparents, Hilmen (Bev) Scharberg of Rochester; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and numerous friends. A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Christ Community Church, 4400 55th St. NW, Rochester. Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00 PM Friday, July 24, 2015 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW., Rochester and one hour prior to the service at the church.
