Bonnie J. Eckhart

Bonnie J. Eckhart, 69, of Rochester, MN passed away Friday, February 3, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Rochester - Saint Marys Campus. Bonnie Jean was born July 6, 1947 to Sterling and Violet (Mahnke) Buck. Bonnie graduated from Hayfield High School in 1965. Bonnie married Leon Eckhart on June 3, 1967 in Hayfield, MN. She managed the Greenway Coop for 8 years, worked in the Finance Department at the Mayo Clinic for 10 years. Bonnie was also an excellent homemaker. She enjoyed Bingo, cards, races, camping with her friends and time with her grandson. Bonnie is survived by her husband, Leon of Rochester; her children, Neil Eckhart of Rochester and Patricia Eckhart of Rochester; and one grandson, Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and two sisters. There will be a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes. Visitation will start at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at a later date at Oakwood East Cemetery.
